Jackson Bolt on Guitars 1986-1989

The Jackson bolt on line picked up where the USA Charvel line left off in January 1986. Earliest versions of these guitars still sported Charvel neckplates. Most consider guitars with serial numbers between 1001-1505 as being true San Dimas built guitars. For some reason the company ordered the neckplates knowing full well they were moving to Ontario, and never changed the address on the plates until some point between 1989 and 1990. So any guitar with a serial number after 1505 is considered to be Ontario made.
Items to keep an eye on while searching the pictures is humbucker pickup ring style (when stock), tuner style, controls route shape, logo style, bridge, etc. You will see the changes are often made slowly with transitions between them.
